Tasting Note

Sitio ( Verb - Latin): 'I'm thirsty'

This snappy, bright Semillon is the perfect refreshment. We make this wine in a way that emphasises Semillon's most tantalising aromas and flavours. On the nose, its a melange of crushed pear, pineapple, lime and meringue. The palate springs out of the glass with tang and flavour, just a hint of Campari-like sherbert with lemon-lime, guava, green apple and lychee.

Pop it in the fridge or ice bucket immediately, and serve chilled.

Food Match: Spicy Asian dishes, semi soft cheese with a fresh fruit plate.

Tasting Notes

Inky Cabernet Sauvignon dominates providing black fruit layered complexity and natural tannin depth. Merlot shows vibrant fresh mulberry and mint aromas with gentle plummy softness on the palate, velvet harmony and subtle black-cherry roundness. Cabernet Franc chimes in later giving beautiful lavender-like fragrance, in partership with a touch of Shiraz, contributing structural red-cherry lift complete this blend.

2018 Epogée

Variety: 40% Roussanne | 30% Viognier |30% Marsanne

Tasting Notes

Epogee is a 100% Hunter blend; the titan in our white wine line-up. The colour shows bright straw green, with a deeper core of yellow. Bold aromatic signatures: powerful golden peach and ripe nectarine at its core, with musk, yellow jasmine, white honey and pear all combining with a rich perfumed harmony.

The palate is all about plushness, velvet depth and texture; Viognier (30%) delivers a luxurious layer of golden fruit silkiness. Finer waxy texture, pear and yellow fruit boldness are  signatures of Marsanne (30%) and significantly Roussanne (40%) delivers cashew-like creaminess to the finish. A beautiful and natural culmination of fruit umami and barrel fermentation.

Pario ( Verb - Latin): ‘Bring forth’

The true varietal characters of musk and green apple offer bright, refreshing aromas lifting out of the glass. Nutty spice and the waxy textures of macadamia and barley carry through on the palate with the fruit flavours of white peach, pear and lime zest. A lovely balance of fruit and exotic spice that complements a wide variety of foods and appeals instantly.
