2024 Latara Semillon

Single Vineyard Range

2024 Latara Vineyard Semillon

Variety:      100% Semillon

Vineyard:    Keith Tulloch Latara Vineyard

Region:       Pokolbin, Hunter Valley

Vine age:    Vines planted in 1978

Tasting Notes

The Latara Vineyard is 4.5kms from the cellar door on the corner of Deasys & McDonalds Roads in Central Pokolbin, planted in 1978. This vineyard is owned by Keith, Amanda and family operated by Keith Tulloch Wine. Whilst many Hunter Valley Semillon vineyards are established on light sandy alluvial soils, this vineyard sits on dark cracking clay soils with a gentle East-West aspect. These soils make a powerful Semillon expression with body and frame that is more luscious and approachable, particularly as a young wine.

Richer, rounder Semillon aromas of lisbon-lemon and kafir lime-leaf are dominant at first, settling with air to allow the finer and sweeter signatures of meyer lemon and green-to-orange mandarin.

Flavours are exotic too, with layers of yellow and green citrus fruit giving mouth-filling tangy energy, with a classic hint of pithy dryness at the finish.

Uber-juicy and gentle, this is a delicious and opulent Semillon for immediate enjoyment but will cellar effortlessly for a decade for the patient.

2025 PERDIEM Sitio Semillon

2025 PERDIEM 'Sitio' Semillon

Variety:       100% Semillon
Region:       Hunter Valley
Vine Age:    Planted in 1968

Vineyard :   Keith Tulloch Estate

Tasting Note

Sitio ( Verb - Latin): 'I'm thirsty'

This snappy, bright Semillon is the perfect refreshment. We make this wine in a way that emphasises Semillon's most tantalising aromas and flavours. On the nose, its a melange of crushed pear, pineapple, lime and meringue. The palate springs out of the glass with tang and flavour, just a hint of Campari-like sherbert with lemon-lime, guava, green apple and lychee.

Pop it in the fridge or ice bucket immediately, and serve chilled.

2024 WCD Shiraz

Single Vineyard Range

2024 WCD Vineyard Shiraz

Variety:     Shiraz (100%)
Region:     Hunter Valley

Vineyard:  WCD Vineyard

This vineyard is located less than 14km from our cellar door, on Wine Country Drive in Central Pokolbin. This site enjoys balanced weather influences, gifting the vineyard with slightly cooler summer days with slightly more Easterly breeze. Soils are deep brown clays with flecks of red ironstone.

Shiraz aromatics of rich black cherry with concentrated blackberry, plus fresh leaf-and-flower accents of sweet briar and wild rose. Deeper spice-notes of juniper and black-pepper chime in too, with fine French-oak contributing subtle, elegant, and complex notes of vanilla and cinnamon.

Inky black-fruits dominate the palate, from black cherry to sweet blackcurrant, fanning out gradually with soft velvety notes of glace-fruits and dark chocolate. From mid-palate to the finish these flavours retain their power and energy, gaining lasting accents of liquorice, integrating beautifully with the softness of toasty barrel-spice. Tannins are deep and spice-laden too, gently staining the tongue with hints of malty Assam tea and graphite.

2 or 3 years in the cellar would be ideal, or if drinking before then decant for early reward.

2024 Hunter Valley Semillon

2024 Hunter Valley Semillon

Variety:     100% Semillon
Region:     Pokolbin, Hunter Valley
Vine Age:  Planted in 1969

Vineyard : Keith Tulloch Hermitage Road

Tasting Notes

100% Estate-grown fruit from the Field of Mars vineyard established in 1968 and our Latara vineyard established 1978. The mix of alluvial sand and richer clay soils from these two top Semillon sites delivers lovely fruit purity, along with bolder, richer depth of yellow and green citrus character.

Bright aromas of fully-ripe and freshly-squeezed Meyer-lemon and Tahitian lime are clear and powerful signatures, full of zest and energy.

Flavours are equally zesty and direct – tangy and juicy and ripe from the initial taste through to a long-lasting and vibrant persistence. The mid-palate fruit focus is opulent lime and lemon, unwavering and full of potential with an almost endless fine balance. The finish and persistence are right on-point, showing delicious ripe-acid freshness plus hints of crunchy grapefruit and savory lemon-pith.

It shows terrific potential for cellaring beyond 10 years, but is so easy to enjoy now that we recommend drinking from now until 2040.

2024 PERDIEM Recolo Rosé

2024 PERDIEM 'Recolo' Rose

Variety:   Shiraz, Viognier, Semillon
Region:   Hunter Valley

Tasting Notes

Recolo ( Verb - latin) : 'I remember'

This fresh, inviting Rosé is worth remembering. First, there are the aromas, like crushed raspberries and rosewater; the flavours that follow are racy blood orange zest, cherry, pomegranate and watermelon. To finish there's a bead of red-grape texture and crunchy pink lady apple, enough to remind you that you're drinking a crisp, dry Rosé.

Pop in the fridge or ice bucket immediately and serve chilled. Drink tonight with good food and company.
